Thread: Arinc question

    Arinc question

Is the Arinc only required with the 430w type of gps? I am installing a sl30, sl40, and a 496gps. I have a 3500 EFIS . I purchased a Arinc but thinking it is not needed as the sl30 will provide data via serial port 3 and the 232 output of the sl30.
Am I missing something or not?

    Regards

The ARINC adapter is required for the GNS-400(W)/500(W), GNS-480/CNX-80, and GTN-500/600 series GPS/NAV/COM's. It is also required if you have the AF-Pilot or TruTrak Digiflight II series autopilot. You will need one with the equipment you mentioned. The GPS and VOR/ILS ARINC lines from the GNS-430W will go to the ARINC adapter.

Correct, you won't need it. You may give Cindy a call to return it.
