Clarification on installing ARINC software

Hello Trutrak support,

There is new software for the non S EFIS : AF3000V70307-MV15-AV40.zip.

The instructions concerning the ARINC unit are a little cryptic :
Requires ARINC Version 4.0 if an ARINC adapter is installed in aircraft.
(The ARINC software is included with the System Software. Once new software has been installed, load ARINC software via Maintenance Menu located in the Adminitrative Settings section of Calibration. ARINC code is required with this update if you have an ARINC adapter installed in your aircraft.).

Does Version 4.0 refer to the ARINC unit or to ARINC software V4.O which is part of the new AF3000V70307-MV15-AV40 software ?

Furthermore, what do you mean by ARINC code - do you mean new ARINC V4.0 software or some kind of unlock code to validate the installation ?

ARINC software version 4.0 is current. The ARINC software/code is version 4.0. The unit (hardware) itself doesn't have a version number.
