    Upgrading to the 4500

Has anyone upgraded from the 3500 to the 4500? Is it worth the expense and the effort?
I'm trying to figure out whether it is worth doing before the price increase next year.

I just did the upgrade and am very pleased with it. I would do it again but of course the 3500 is just fine. The improved screen, the SV, extra knob and faster processor is great. I like it. Larry

    Larry,
How difficult was it to upgrade. Did you have to recalibrate everything?
Did you have to send in your 3500 and wait for the 4500? How long was your airplane down for this?

It's painless, just call them and they will give you a date and turn around time should be about a week or so. Nothing else is necessary just a much nicer display and added functions. Larry
