I was flying a GPS approach (GTN650) this morning and as I went missed I looked over to reference an altitude and the approach plate was gone. Map -> [Ap Plt] was gray. I didn't try un-suspending the approach on the Garmin, but after some thought my guess is - it would have brought it back. I had already hit "remain suspended" while I was getting vectors. I loaded my destination in the internal flight plan, and then the EFIS knew to provide the plates. It was just a little cumbersome and time consuming during a high task loading phase of flight. It was a practice approach in VFR so no big deal. Any tips for that? It may have been just an anomaly on my system.

1) is it correct that un-suspending the approach would allow the the EFIS to display the plate, and
2) is there a fix out there for this? It's not logical.

Thanks,
Buster
