    My Magnetic Heading is out by about 12 degrees

    Can you pleasee explain how i can fix my magnetic heading as it is definitley out when compared to my compass and Garmin as well as runway heading.
    It is out by about 12 degrees

    How long since you calibrated the magnetometer?

    Bob is right, you probably need to calibrate your magnetometer. During this process pay special attention to ferrous items in the baggage area, rebar in the concrete (big no-no), and metal buildings within 200' of the aircraft. All of these may contribute to a poor magnetic model generation during the magnetometer calibration.

    Fiddling around i found it is possible to manually correct the compass by adjusting the offset.
