Question - Any changes in the AHRS, now or coming up?

Since getting together with Dynon, I have a question about the AHRS unit. Is anything changing, in regard to the AHRS to be used with the AF-5000 products?

I'm getting ready to rivet the top aft fuselage skin in place, right behind the baggage area on my RV-7A tipup. I'd like to have everything in place back there before I do that. I built a shelf to hold the AHRS unit, with room for a future second one, and drilled it for the footprint of the AHRS unit. I also ran the wire from the panel and installed the connector. Ideally, all I will have to do us insert the unit and plug it in. But before I rivet that skin on, I wanted to check and see if any changes have happened since merging with Dynon, or if any are in the works that I should know about? Thanks so much.

We now offer three different AHRS units that can be used with the EFIS:

Item Part Number Description Connection Price
    1 72200 ADAHRS - Primary Advanced-SV Network $1,200
    2 72201 ADAHRS - Backup Advanced-SV Network $800
    3 72010 Original AF-5000 AHRS RS-232 AHRS serial port $1500

Would it be possible to give a short pros and cons statement of the three AHRS options?

There are really on two AHRS options, the 72200 and 72201 are basically the same unit.

Most new systems are using the 72200/201
    a) Does not use any serial ports and connects using the Advanced-SV network
    b) Has integrated Pitot/Static connections, this eliminates the pitot/static connections and airdata calibration at the EFIS screen.
    c) Less expensive
    d) Measures AOA with the 44,300 / 44,305 / 44,310 Pitot Probe

    P/N: 72010
    a) Same mounting and size as the original Crossbow remote magnetometer.
    b) Does not require Pitot/Static connections at the AHRS, airdata is sent to the AHRS from the EFIS.
    c) Measures AOA with the 44,300 / 44,305 / 44,310 Pitot Probe OR AOA A KIT Wing Ports
