If the screens show up in the next 10 days we will have one at Oshkosh. We should be able to start shipping them in late August.

hope you can give us 4500 guys a good deal to upgrade. the upgrade from the 3500 to the 4500 was a bit disappointing.

Any idea of the range of operating temperature for this unit? Where are suggested mountings for this - can it be placed firewall forward, under the fiberglass cowl, similar to mountings for GPS antenna only mountings?

It depends on which RS-232 port you use, it needs to get powered from the OAT power on the DSUB-25 main connector.

Is this true of the 4500s? Isn't Pin 9 on the 4500 expansion port (DB-9) providing the 5v?

    73101 needs +5V
    73102 needs +8V from 5000R7 or +12V from 4500 OAT

Does putting the GPS in parallel with the OAT sensor power impact the OAT output at all?

If the OAT on the 4500 is +12v, can I grab power directly from a VPX circuit?

You are only connecting the GPS to the +10V power for the OAT, it will not impact the OAT readings.
