how many pulse per 2 revolutions with EI and Mag?

    Hi AFS team,

I have on my TMYIO-540 one mag and one EI (Lightspeed Plasma III). Under RPM calibration I have to set the pulse per two revolutions.
which option do I need to take
Standard RPM sensor with Slick Mag 6 Cylinders: Pulses = 3
    or
    Electronic Ignition 6 Cylinders: Pulses = 6

    Thanks
    Mike

    some questions

Some electronic ignition systems do not give a tach signal when turned off, therefore during a mag check, might loose signal. If that is the case, then the Magneto would be the better bet. Other electronic systems like the P-mag still give a tach signal even when grounded.

If you still have one mag you should use the Mag sensor in the Mag, even when the mag is grounded and not running the RPM sensor will pick up the RPM.
