I recently updated my dual screen AF4500 system to 8.8.02. During the install a couple of files were created in my install SD card that were never created on previous updates:
afs_backup.tar.gz
afs_datalogs.tar.gz
What are these files for?

What are these files for?
They are backup files of your data. If the install fails we can recover the data.

I use the one update SD card for both screens. Do these files backup each screen, or just the last one updated?

I think it handles two screens by naming one .bak. Note: the backup.tar.gz file is only intended for use by AFS as a last-resort recovery option.
