    RS232 Imputs

I am installing 2 5600's and 1 5500 in a RV10 and was wondering about RS232 inputs. One for example would be the carbon monoxide warning to display on the EFIS instead of using the LED warning light. I know this can be done using a switched input or RS232 but does it matter what EFIS it is hooked up to. All three screen swill be connected via ethernet hub.

There are not enough inputs on the main EFIS so wanted to use the ones open on the Co-Pilot EFIS and if I do, will the warnings show up on both pilot and co-pilot screens.

    Thanks

You can use any of the serial ports in all three screens. The ARINC, Autopilot, and GPS should be connected to the PFD. If you have a ADS-B unit it should be wired to the non PFD screen. In my RV-10 I have the following:

    PFD
    #1 GTN650 Aviation Data
    #2 GTX-330
    #3 AF-Pilot
    #4 ARINC Module

    Center Screen
    #1 Vertical Power
    #2
    #3 SL-30
    #4 Navworx ADS-B

    Right Screen
    #1 FreeFlight ADS-B
    #2
    #3 CO Detector

I have the FreeFlight installed to the right screen as you show above. Have the Settings in the EFIS on that port to ADSB 57K. Wondering if this is correct as I am not getting anything when I goto CHeck, about, WX.

Is this correct or should it be something else.

    Thanks

The setting for a FreeFlight on a 5000 series would be "ADSB 115K"
