What the heck is that ahead???

So I'm flying yesterday on one of the most beautiful days EVER - no wind CAVU low humidity, you can see for miles.... doing some low and slow sightseeing, just enjoying the beauty of flight, when up ahead on my synthetic display 4500 is see this!

Superman's Crystal City?? Recent nuclear explosion?? Obviously there was nothing ahead of me but I was slightly nervous when I flew through it

Any ideas? This was Novembers data base and the location somewhere between Montauk and East Hampton along the shoreline. Flown over here many many times and never saw this...

    John,

This looks like a problem with your Map files. Can you verify the sizes of the files on your SD card. For November they should be:
    AF2MAPUS.AFM: 15,730,486 bytes
    AF2VECUS.AFM: 71,561,079 bytes
    AF2TERUS.AFM: 35,458,162 bytes

Did the SVN ever come back to normal?

I'll check the files next week. Traveling now.

Yes everything was normal after I left that particular area. Weird.

We found an error in the map data, please re-load the data.
