Thread: OK to Change LOGCFGSD File?

    OK to Change LOGCFGSD File?

I have several items being logged that I don't want to have logged. Flap position, for instance - I don't have flap position indication so there is no need to log this. Carb heat temp as well since I have an injected engine. Noticed that the LOGCFGSD File seems to indicate what is being logged. Can I change this file to eliminate those things I don't want to log? Is there a listing somewhere of all parameters that could potentially be logged? Maybe there are other things I would like to record.

I have the same question. I couldn't find anything referencing this file in the manual, nor could I find a config menu for this. It appears you could edit the LOGCFGSD file and change the "1's" to "0's" to disable logging those parameters you do not want to log (or vice-versa).

    Paul,
have you tried changing to 0 to see if it works?
Also do you know how to change the recording time interval?

    amekler,

I have backed up and edited the LOGCFGSD.AFD file, but have not tried it (not yet flying), although I'm confident it will work. The data logging rate can be changed in calibration menu. It is initially set from AFS at 5 seconds.

You change the 1 to a 0 to make it not move the data to the data log file on the SD card, it still records all the data in the EFIS.

The calibration > ADMIN Settings has a Data Logging Interval setting that you can change.
