    IO-390 CHT's

I'm just curious, what CHT's are people seeing for their IO-390? I try to run LOP on most flights and when you set the EMS to lean, you don't see the CHT's. Everything is based on EGT's. If you turn peak detect off then you see it but not when leaning. It wasn't until I downloaded the data file that I could follow the temps and mine are pretty low. I'm curious as to what other people with IO-390's are seeing.

    I'm in a Glasair Sportsman.

My IO390 is installed in a Lancair 360
The CHT while ROP is 340-350° (Oil 190)
same flight LOP is 305-315° (Oil 180)
    4500ft alt, OAT 17°C, 22"/2400U/min
In hot summer oil is usually 195-205°F while ROP

Run this Excel file, activate "macros", then open your .ALD file from the EFIS

Here is a sample File with LOP:

The KMZ file for Google earth is tuned for Europe, you get the alt in meters!

Have fun reading your flight data.

Thanks Christian. I opened my file in Excel also and produced this chart. My CHT's are lower than yours but I think the numbers are correct. That's one nice Lancair!

BTW your link for the Utility did not work. I could only find v2.0.2 here. Can you repost?

    John,
I renamed the file so it should work now.

    Just added some more graphs.

Seems you have big cooling holes, mine are just 4" each... flying fast has it's price ...
