EGT/CHT Sleeving

The EGT/CHT installation instructions say to "USE SLEEVING OVER LEADS IF TYING TO IGNITION HARNESS". This instruction is capitalized for emphasis, so I'd like to understand it well. Does IGNITION HARNESS refer to just the wires to the spark plugs, just the P-leads, both? What is meant by "sleeving"? What is the purpose of this SLEEVING ... electrical isolation, protection from chafing, temperature, other? Can you provide an example part number for sleeving?

The directions are from K-S Avionics the manufacturers of the certified probes we use and I really don't know what it is. I did not use any on my RV-10, I will see if I can get an answer from them about it.
