When turning on the 4500, for a short period before the 'I Agree', the screen display is scrambled.This doesn't have any detrimental effect, but just looks bad. This happens every time, whether on internal battery, aircraft battery or external power.

Hello Norman. That is completely normal, not necessarily what we'd like though. That happens as the video driver for the hardware loads. We could make the screen go completely black during that time so it doesn't show the scrambled screen, but we felt that would be more detrimental.

What do you mean with old version of MAPEU ?
Is it AFSMAPEUR.AFM or AFSMAPEUR_V15_TV ?
What is the difference ?
