    Flaps Position Sensing

I am installing an Aircraft Extras FPS-Plus flaps controller. It powers a POS-12 potentiometer with 5 VDC and uses it to monitor and control flaps position. The FPS-Plus controller also outputs a flaps position signal that it derives from the POS-12, and that output can be set to a max 0-6 VDC range. It appears that the AF4500 which I plan to install, is looking for a 0-10 VDC flaps position input signal. I understand that the AF4500 uses an A-to-D converter for the flaps position input signal, and that I set the min and max digital values during installation setup. Question: Will a 0-6 VDC input range provide sufficient resolution for the AF4500, or should I investigate making a modification to the flaps controller to produce a 0-10 volt output range?

Yes a 0-6 VDC range will work.
