    Trutrak VSVG AP and 3500

I have the VSVG AP with an EFIS/430 switch and a 3500. When the GPSV is engaged and I want to use an atlitude to climb or descend to do I use the vert arm or the vert alt mode on the EFIS. I'm not sure what the difference is.
Also when should I switch from EFIS to the 430? To fly a holding pattern?

Hi Alan, you would want to use VER: ALT unless you are doing an approach in which case you would put it in VER: ARM mode. ARM mode follows the heading and altitude bugs until a NAV course is intercepted.

Alan, you'd only need that switch unless your screen went down.
