    Auto Pilot

We just got our modified Trutrak auto pilot back. They updated the software and made it an AFS auto pilot. We hadn't used it before because we just started our phase one. The auto pilot doesn't seem to couple with our 4500. It seems to hold altitude well but it doesn't follow the flight plan. When it dose try to climb it climbs at only 50 ft/min. It will start to follow changes in direction, but then it just continues to turn past the course. Any help would be appreciated. We have a 430W in our RV10. What should the baud setting be?

Have you adjusted the Vertical Speed on the right knob? It should be around 500-600 fpm. Are you using the HDG and ALT bugs to fly the aircraft when the AP mode is LAT: HDG and VER: ALT? Please start by going through our EFIS - 430W - AP Troubleshooting Guide which is available on this Support Forum under Tech Support Documents.
