    Confirmation of ARINC Connections

    Good morning Everyone,

    I hope you're having fun in Lakeland.
    I am stumped trying to connect my GNS480 to my 4500. The adapter is alive and version 4.0 software. No messages are exchanged. In the AFS install diagram it says to connect 430 output GPS 1A to GPS WAAS input 2A on the 4500. Is that because the 430 outputs are not configurable?
    Can I assume that as long as I connect Output A to input A, Output B to input B, and set the GNS480 outputs correctly everything should work? I spent hours disassembling a connector yesterday and now I'm not sure I needed to. Thanks

    The AF-ARINC adapter inputs are not configurable. ARINC channel 1 is expecting VOR/ILS data, ARINC channel 2 is expecting GPS data.
