Trig TY91 headless radio
Hello,
On software version Vx16.06.15-TOUCH-MV16 it is written:
Adds support for Trig TY91 Headless Radio
On the installation manual I also see the option to assign a serial port to the TY91 radio.
My question is I don't see in which pins should i connect on the TY91 radio. I saw other efis connect to the TMAP port on the TY91. Should I connect to the TMAP port?
Thank you,
Filipe

No, we use the RS-232 port on pins 5+6 of the TY91 DB25. We don't have a drawing for standalone AF-5/6000 wiring, but here is a wiring diagram for the transceiver wired to an Advanced Control Module, which shows the RS-232 port as wired to the transceiver:

Hello Jonathon,
I tried to do it but is not working. The radio needs a firmware update?
Thank you,

The interface has been tested with the Trig TY91 variants sold as the Dynon SV-COM-T25 and SV-COM-T8 transceivers. The same serial interface also works with the newly released SV-COM-760 transceiver of our own design and manufacture.
Early production runs of the SV-COM-760 require a firmware update before the device can be used as a fully remote radio. This firmware update cannot currently be installed from a connected AF-5/6000 display, but it can be installed with the transceiver connected through an SV-COM-PANEL to a Dynon HDX display that is running the latest SkyView software.
We have not tested this interface with other variants of the TY91 transceiver, such as those sold directly by Trig with their own tuning head, or the TY91 used as the second radio in a PS Engineering PAR200 com/audio panel, etc. We know for certain that other variations of the Trig TT22 transponder cannot be substituted as a Dynon SV-XPNDR-261. As such, it is safest to assume that the same holds true for other variants of the TY91 transceiver not branded specifically as Dynon products.
