    Altimeter setting

    Shawn,
    Does the 5600 remember your altitude at shutdown. Reason I ask is that whenever I power up my panel for a flight, the baro altitude seems to have reset itself to the field elevation at shutdown regardless of baro. pressure changes.

    Yes, I believe it does. I think it is in the manual, but it basically recognizes field elevation and sets the baro close to it.
