    Stall Indicator

Hi - I have touch 5600, touch 5500, and non-touch 5600. The 5600s are displaying the AOA, but I'd like to also have a stall horn audio indicator as well. Is there a setting for that in the Administration menus? Thanks for any info!

    Cheers,
    Jeff

There are a few facets available to this question.

If you are just wanting AOA tone, V16 software has released tones into the AOA system. Use [SET] -> [CAL] -> 'Angle of Attack' -> 'Audio Alarms' -> "Voice and Tones" or "Tones Only".

If you are wanting to get the audio from a tone generator into your headset that would be just wiring the stall horn generator into an unswitched input of your audio system. Most of the time you need a way to control the volume with an inline potentiometer or other adjustment.

Last option is to hook the stall closure contact to a general purpose input of the EFIS and select Usage: "Stall Warn" from the 'Inputs' page of calibration.
