    A few 5600 questions

-On the internal flight plan, if one waypoint is set at 12k feet and the next one is set at 6k feet, does the autopilot immediately start a descend following the waypoint at 12k, or will it wait until the TOD required to hit the 6k waypoint without exceeding the vertical speed limit?

-On the compass rose, is there any way to make it darker or less visible? I find it is too light to read but dark enough to clutter the screen.

-Flap overspeed warning only has one input for speed. RV-10 and other aircraft have different limits for different flap settings. Is there any way to add a different limit for each setting?

On page 46 of the current V16 Pilot Guide Manual you will find out how to make the compass rose less visible. Press SET>EFIS>HDGC:G. The G will render the compass rose in a more stealthy grey colour. If you don’t like it that way, you can always go through the process again and the button will then be labelled HDGC:W and take you back to the bright white mode you have selected now.

Regarding the autopilot following altitudes set on in the internal flight, the answer is to be found on page 52 of the current V16 pilots manual. Firstly you will have to engage the VFPL Mode on the autopilot. When approaching the descent point, you will be prompted by the EFIS to set the new altitude on the altitude bug. The autopilot will otherwise not descend below the altitude set on the bug.

So the descent point has to be a waypoint, or the determined based on the descent rate?

I would think it wouldn’t be a feature if you have to give in a descent point - I believe it will descend at the preset rate to reach the prescribed altitude restriction at the given waypoint. Have you downloaded the manual?

You will see markers for TOD or TOC depending on the selected vertical speed required to reach the crossing.

Yellow shows 12kft held between TOC and TOD. Red is the AF00 marker, Green is the AF01 marker. In this example VS was 1500ft/min.

We don't have the ability to set VFE independently for the 0
