New Checklist Format Vx 16.07.07 System Software

After reading the Vx 16.07.07 software release notes, I was looking forward to adding a few additional items to my already customised checklists. I pulled the drive and was somewhat surprised to see that my checklists were still showing up to 12 lines per page with 20 pages in spite of having Vx16.07.07 installed. What do I have to do to get the new Checklist Format with 21 lines and 99 pages to work as advertised?

To clarify, you can now add up to CHKLST98.LINE21 into your current CHKLST.AFD

NOTE: As of Vx16.07.07-TOUCH-MV16 2021/07/19 there is a 1024 line limit on CHKLST.AFD, this will be fixed and listed in the release notes in a future revision.

The three fixed page numbers are
BEFORE ENGINE START must be on CHKLST0 and is linked to [ESTART] button
BEFORE TAKEOFF must be on CHKLST2 and is linked to [B4-TO] button
EMERGENCY must be on CHKLST5 and is linked to [EMER] button

Pages must be sequentially numbered CHKLST0., CHKLST1., ..., CHKLST98. and must have a minimum of pages 0-5 defined due to fixed pages above, you.
Lines must also be sequentially numbered from LINE1, LINE2, ..., LINE21,. You must start at LINE1 but do not need to define all 21 lines.

The longer you make the text line the smaller the text will get. I wouldn't recommend having more then about 30 characters on a single line.

Here is a template for a complete page at index 0 aka page number 1:

I too have had no luck installing longer checklists in the new version.
I've tried different text editors, different file names and extensions, renamed the SD card, tired SD Card and USB. Nothing.
    So some basic questions:
    1. Does the type of text editor matter? Android, IOS?
    2. Name of file/extension?
    3. Name of SD card. Can we use either SD or USB?
My format appears to be correct, but I just can't get anything to work.

What exactly is the function of the RESTORE command?

    1) The checklist should be modified in an non-formatting editor such as Notepad. Shouldn't really matter the OS.
    - Ideal tools are:
    - Windows https://notepad-plus-plus.org/
    - Mac http://www.barebones.com/products/bbedit/
    2) CHKLST.AFD
    3) New USB/SD Card setup instructions: https://www.advancedflightsystems.co...ed-storage.php
    4) RESTORE or the [REST] button performs a read of the select file from the selected storage media and replaces the existing file in the EFIS's internal memory.

Feel free to post a copy of your CHKLST.AFD and I can validate it.

I initially had problems trying edit my Checklists using Microsoft Word Pad. Thanks to Ken Chard who pointed out to me that Word Pad sometimes sneaks in a .txt behind the file name when you save the changes. The EFIS then doesn

    Shawn,
Are you suggesting that I right click on the URL above and save it to my SD card?
When I do that and attempt to open it on the card, my computer says it has no app to open it.
So I'm assuming the my EFIS does have the capability to open it and install it.

Then in the EFIS, I highlight the CHECKLIST selection and press "REST" then "SAVE"?

For future reference, will my Mac app "Pages" be able to create the files necessary to change these EFIS features?

UPDATE: Shawn, I followed your guidance and the file loaded the changes into my EFIS.
This resolves my current problem, but doesn't provide a long term solution,
since I don't know what you did to that file to make it suitable.
