    B & C alternator, external LR3C Voltage regulator

I only have an order in place and haven't recieved any Advanced Equipment yet. My O-320 has a B& C alternator that uses an External Voltage Regulator and i am curious if i'll e able to connect it because it has a 2a circuit breaker, a 5A Field circuit breaker and alt circuit breaker that is an auto reset breaker. It also uses an incandescent low voltage warning light. Seems like i have an alt field switch on the switch module, and don't know if the af5600 can take an incandesent signal and display a fault.

    Thanks

You would be able to connect pin 5 of the regulator to the EFIS inputs to show the warning lamp status. The issue would be if you wanted both the EFIS and Lamp connected to the same pin 5. Pin 5 of the regulator provides the path to ground so even though the EFIS would be providing 5V it will still work the same.

Shawn: I created a diagram in eazydraw that show the connections to the lr3c. Here is a link. https://www.dropbox.com/s/g97neka991...atorA.jpg?dl=0

I don't know the B&C system enough to comment on if this is correct or not. I would note that your drawing isn't showing the fuse/cb element between switched master and pin #3. You might have omitted for clarity as it's a bit cramped. Also I'm sure you found that the ACM Aircraft Rear connector is where the EFIS input signal would terminate either pin 1,2,3,14,15,16.
