PDA360EX-R remote audio panel & monitoring standby COM frequency

The PDA360EX panel version has a COM monitor mode to “Dual Monitor” two frequencies allowing the pilot to monitor a second COM source, perhaps an ATIS frequency, suppressing the non primary source when the primary is active. Is this ability to monitor a second COM frequency available through the PDA360EX-R and a 5600T screen with remote audio panel page? When you select to receive 2 frequencies on the remote audio panel page, is the the second frequency suppressed when the primary is active?

An Avidyne IFD has the ability to send a #1 COM Standby Audio frequency to an appropriate audio panel. Could the PDA360EX-R Audio panel use this standby frequency audio provided by Avidyne in either dual monitor mode or as COM2, in a single COM radio installation?

    Yes.

The com which is also designated for transmit will mute the one designated only to receive.

Yes you could wire the Avidyne's Com Monitor Audio HI and LO outputs to the COM2 inputs on the PDA360. Or, to make it easier to add a second com radio down the road, wire them to the PDA360 NAV2 audio inputs instead.
