    3500/4500 mapping question

I am in the process of buying a RV9 that has a 3500 and 4500. Will these units display geo referenced approach plates, sectional, airport, low altitude enroute charts?

yes to geo referenced approach plates
no to sectional /airport/low altitude enroute charts(you would have to upgrade to the 5400 for these)
I use foreflight on an iPad mini for these

How do you get the geo referenced approach plates to show on my 4500? I have been using my iPad with Foreflight but would prefer to see them on my AFS 4500 moving map. I have a Jeppesen subscription for Foreflight. I seem to remember being told that I could purchase, pricey, a subscription from AFS for the approach plates but that they were kind of rough, not as clear as my Jeppesen plates. Is this true?

That is great to learn. I would much prefer to see my geo referenced plates on my EFIS rather than my iPad.
