Thread: DB9 on EM; OAT input connector

DB9 on EM; OAT input connector

Am I correct that the DB9 on the EM is unused?

I note that the OAT input can occur on either the EFIS or EM main connector. Are there any implications to picking one or the other?

    Thanks,

A related question is whether the expansion connector on the EM can be used for GPS input. Does this connector supply +5V?

What page in the revised manual documents this connector?

Yes, serial port #4 (the DB-9) is the same on all EFIS (EE, EFIS, EM, MFD).

Thanks Trevor. You might want to consider updating the manual to include this information. The manual only addresses the DB9 on the EFIS box, as far as I can tell!
