Question Nexrad Radar target 10 miles off

Interesting morning --- I purposely flew this morning to look at the several heavy rain showers in the area ---- I wanted to see how they looked on the AFS 5600T vs. the iFly 740, and my eyeballs.

Looking at a heavy cell 10 miles south of me with the eyeballs, the iFly showed the shower in the 10 mile south position, BUT, the AFS 5600T indicated that I was sitting in the middle of the shower (very smooth ride for such a condition). The AFS showed my aircraft where it was supposed to be, but the weather was being displayed 10 miles north.

It was a well-defined cell, not moving much.

I am using the uAvionix Echo, the Skyfx GPS, and sniffing my G327 TXP. The iFly gets its weather by WiFi from the uAvionix and the AFS hardwired to the uAvionix.

Can anyone explain this (rather serious) mismatch?

    ADS-B Data

What did the Nexrad age show on the AF-5600 EFIS?
What did the iFly show for the Nexrad age?
What serial port ADS-B data speed do you have selected on the AF-5600?

What version of software are you running on the AF-5600?

Rob --- I will get back to you on the info ---- I am running the January 2018 software version. Edit: Add --Port 1 115K--

Do not know Nexrad age --- will try again when weather conditions permit

Did this get resolved? I am having the same problem. Weather on the 4500 is accurate but about 20 miles off on the 5600. I changed the baud rate on the 5600 to 57K from 115K but made no difference. It is not a time delay problem. I am using the uAvionix for ADS-B.

What software version is running on both screens? Can you list your GPS/NAV Data Source setup on both screens?

    Notes on connecting ADS-B

    - Always use ADS-B 115K , 57K is not fast enough to get all the data
    - Only configure 1 EFIS screen to ADS-B 115K , make sure you don't have any other serial ports configured for ADS-B

What is the NXRD age on each EFIS screen? it should be the same
If you are still having problems email pictures of both efis map screens.

I will check the above. Thank you!
