Thread: 5600 display button

    5600 display button

V15 manual is interspersed with two bottom row formats. The difference is crs and brg vs. cdi and disp. Is there a soon to be released new software version coming out to be able to change hsi display location?

To avoid confusion the bottom row text label of "CRS" was changed to the label of "CDI" to distinguish it from the "CRS" know on the vertical row.

I don't know of any changes to the location of the HSI.

Page 45 of v15 shows display configuration, I don’t have that with current software.

That is new for v15. It just gives you direct access to splitting the screens different ways. It doesn't add any new screens or split configuration.

It would be nice to be able to have the hsi on the bottom as other standard efis have, do you think that will ever be an option? Has that ever been considered?

We get that request rarely from new customers but most get so used to the single referance frame that they would rather not change it. But if we got enough interest we could add it to the requested feature list.

If anyone is interested feel free to reply to this thread.

I prefer the HSI as currently displayed. I find it very intuitive with very little eye movement/scan required. Please do not change the location.

I concur with Dick, especially if I need to include my GTN650 into the scan.
