    Fuel computer & IFD540

Is there any way the 5600 can communicate with the IFD540 regarding fuel for its fuel/NAV computations?

If you have a serial port wired directly to the IFD use AVTN/ARNAV to get fuel information sent, same with 430W. 650's would use AVTN/FADC1. If you are using an SV-ARINC then you will need to check to see if you can wire a spare serial port to the IFD to send the fuel information.

Ok thanks I got it to communicate to the 540. The fuel remaining shows 217 gal, not sure how it came up with that or where to adjust it. My efis is set as 30gal each tank and only tank 1and 2 active.

    540 manual explanation:

Title and total fuel remaining (units dependent on unit type selection made in User Options list) as sent by the aircraft fuel flow system, if available.

It is not presented as an option if the IFD isn’t configured to communicate with an external fuel flow system.

The “SYS” (System) tab provides access to various system status
pages, a means to enter initial fuel (if configured with a
    recognized fuel flow system)

I was trying to make changes on the IFD540 but I see that adjustments are actually made on the 5600, All seems to be working.
