    Network failing between units

    Hi,
I have 2 AFS 5600 rev 1. PFD is set to have address 175 and MFD to have 176.

Up until now they have been communicating flawlessly, but now somethings gone wrong and the units are not communicating any more. When I have the crossover cable in there is no communication and the network card lights solid green and regular frequency flashing yellow. If I remove the network cable the lights are the same.

I think I can trace the problem back to when I did the cabling for the back.up power to the EFIS Extension D-Sub on pin 6 (power) and 15 (ground). The ground wires are connected but the power is still to be connected. Can this be the reason ?

Is there any way to test the network ?

Email us a picture of your Admin Settings pages to support@advanced-flight-systems.com. The LED's aren't wired to be network activity indicators. They are purely hardware diagnostic.

Yes. Green is a power indicator, yellow is a heartbeat indicator.
