Thread: Dropzone

    Dropzone

Notice on the map view that most airports have a ring around it, even uncontrolled fields. When you highlight it and hit info, it says drop zone xxxx to surface. Is this for parachuting? Some airports have it but I'm certain there is no parachuting there. Can you explain?

Dropzones are normally for parachute jumps but could be for other activities.

I don't currently have a mechanism on the EFIS to show additional data for airspaces but the SPADARO location has the description "SUNSET, SAT AND SUN. 1600-SUNSET, WED AND OTHER OCCASIONS"
