    Compatible xm products to 5600

Looking to add xm to my 5600 pfd, mfd and wondering what I need to look for in external hardware to be compatible and how does it interface--direct wire, wifi?

We sell and support the WR-10 or WR-10BT from WxWorx using the ethernet connection. You will also need an ethernet hub to allow the EFIS's access to the new data. If an EFIS is wired to an ADS-B receiver it will be ADS-B master and the other display can be XM master.

Does the WR10 provide music and weather? Does one antenna work for both?

Can the weather be displayed also on the IFD540 via serial or bt connection? Or is there a way to do this?

Do I use the same Ethernet hub I’m currently using for xm to other screens?

Yes, the WR10 provides music and weather. There is one antenna for the XM signal (music and weather), and one antenna for GPS.

I don't know if the IFD540 can connect to the WR10.

You can connect the XM receiver to your existing Ethernet hub.

Another question, can the bt version be used with ethernet and bt and serial at the same time? Looking at wxworx site it shows different bundles for Ethernet, serial, or bt use? I assume bt can also be used with foreflight?

I would recommend checking with those manufacturers on alternative uses.
