    AOA Installation - Flaps switch.

    Hi,
I have bought a second-hand AOA with probes in the wing (not pitot tube).
My AFS-5600 has AOA installed directly in the units (tube connections).

In the installation manual and included in the kit there is mentioned a Flaps sensor switch, but I want to install a Ray-Allen sensor for the Flaps - my questions is - would the AFS-5600, as it detects the extension of the flaps, automatically use this information for the AOA or do I still need to install the Flaps-sensor (basically an on/off switch) that detects more than 1/3 Flaps ?

The AF-5000 series can be configured to "Use Flap Angle Sensor" as the 1/3 indication of the flap position. A stand alone AOA Sport / Pro will need the Flap switch.

OK, so I don't need to install the flap switch. Thanks many times. Much easier then.
