    Fuel Flow Calibration

I need to adjust my K-factor. It is currently set at 680. This IO360 engine used 15.0 gallons in 1.76 hobbs hours. The fuel flow computer says it used 18.6 gallons. I would adjust the k-factor as a fraction of 680:

    548 new k factor = 15.0/18.6 x 680

The manual says: New Counts per .01 gals = (Old Counts per .01 gals) x (Disp GAL USED/PUMP GALS)

Not sure of the meaning Disp Gal used vs pump gals. Did I calculate it correctly for a new K factor to be 548?

ok....Shawn saves the day. "Disp" stand for display... unnecessary abbreviations can be puzzle to decipher

    18.6/15 x 680 = 843

    thanks

I are operating in Liters. Do I do the equation in Liters or do I convert it to Gals first

Yes, the gallons / liters units cancel when using with all liter values. It just happens to become "counts per 0.038 liters"

I had to change my “red cube” and my fuel flow is off so I need to adjust my k-factor. I’ve already had two fill ups and adjusted the k-factor each time but still not getting an accurate fuel consumption. How many new k-factor calculations does it usually take before it is correct? Just curious.

Oops. Just realized that I was changing the K-factor on my 5600 and not my 3400. Never mind.
