Thread: OAT sensor problem?

    OAT sensor problem?

    On a long flight yesterday I saw that the OAT, TAS, and wind speed/direction indicators
    all showed "---" on my 5500 screen. All had been working on the previous flight. I suspect
    the OAT sensor, but request your advice on how to troubleshoot this.
    Thx,
    - Dan

    If the pitot is plumbed into the AF-5000 the OAT is connected to the EFIS Main Cable with pins 6,7,19. Units installed with SV-ADAHRS-{200,201} units have OAT attached directly.

    SET -> Hold CALIBRATION
    Navigate and SELect to OAT
    In the Upper Right hand corner you can see the current indicated value.
    Overly high readings are normally ground issues.
    Overly low readings are normally power or sensor issues.
