    Map Data 1412

    I downloaded Map Data 1412 today, took my card to the plane, downloaded (transferred) to my AFS 5500 after getting the prompt upon startup, got the green bar showing download. When I checked About Maps it shows 1408 where I previously had 1411. Is there something wrong with the current 1412 Map Data download?

    FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE LOADING MAP FILES

    The EFIS will only automatically upgrade to the same type of map that is currently installed. Example: AFSMAPUS, or AF2MAPFM.

    SET -> CAL
    Admin Settings
    Transfer Files
    Let me know what is says in the "1. Upgrade Maps" box currently
    Push SEL
    Rotate to "AF2MAPUS MV16 CY1412"
    Press STRT

    If AF2MAPUS MV16 CY1412 isn't an option retry the download.

    For what it's worth, I loaded the cycle 1412 map data on both my 5600 and 4500 today from the same SD card. When I went to the About page on the 5600 it showed Cycle 1411 but the 4500 About page showed Cycle 1412.

    I spoke with Ken today and explained what happened to me. He tried the Maps download and transfer on his computer and got same result (About showed 1411 which was on his USB stick). He said the process was favoring what was on the stick rather than the SD Card. He removed the stick and tried again and got 1412 Maps download. Told me to remove my USB stick and retry, sure enough I got 1412 when checking About Maps, then replaced my USB stick. Ken said he would work the problem.
