    MAP and % Power Troubleshooting

During initial engine runs I notice the manifold pressure fixed at 27.5 regardless of power applied. I have the sensor on the cockpit side of the firewall, one line from the number three cylinder (with a tee for the emag and pmag). Any thoughts on troubleshooting this situation?

Also during engine runs, at idle, the percent of power indicates 72%, how is this adjusted to read a more accurate number?

Terry, try disconnecting the MP hose from the cylinder and suck on it. You should see the MP on the EFIS decrease. If it does not, you have a leak. If it does decrease while sucking, you have the hose in the wrong port on the engine.

Sorry Terry, I didn't answer your second question. You can change the HP for your engine in the Calibration menu under HORSEPOWER. It should then give the correct %HP.

    Thanks

Trevor, I'll give both those a try and get back to you.

Replaced MAP sensor as you suggested, Trevor, and I'm in business with MAP and % or power indications.

    Thanks so much,

    Terry
