Hi,
Recently I have been pushing my RV6 a bit more than usual - and now for the second time discovered that both AHRS on my two 5600 (OS:1) screens both goes offline at around 3G load or 70-90...
Resolved by providing good Serial connection ground. It works great.
Hi,
Struggling to connect my AFS with a Garmin Aera 660 for it to drive my navigation.
I suppose it works the same way as the Garmin 396/496 and it outputs RS-232 Serial 4800 or 9600 NMEA...
Would it be possible to connect and use the new Garmin GPS 175 unit with the AFS 5600 ?? is there a common protocol used ?
Hi,
I know I have aske this before, but could you please consider making an improvement to the FC - when adding fuel ? I am using liters - and to dial in 100 liters on the knob is just a real pain....
Thanks I will try that tomorrow.
Hi,
I have two AFS-5600 installed. One is PFD and the other is used as MFD, but basically they do the same work. When I get annunciator warnings, like "Check Fuel Computer" or "Angle Angle -...
perfect - many thanks.
I found it... it was disabled on the system... so I enabled and the AOA responds now.
Last question: what is best practice - as I have 2 units with AOA modules installed. Should they both run...
I took a look at the System.AFD file for my PFD unit.
It looks like AOA is not installed/enabled ? The tube fittings are on both my screens.

Thoughts ?
the connection is at the EFIS (OS:1) (Older version AFS-5600) and I use wing ports.
The system was bought 2nd hand, but the AOA was never used by the previous owner. I seem to recall some serial...
Ok - thanks- I understand that there is no hangar calibration needed, but when I look in the AOA setup- I usually see a speed indication of around 12kts - even inside sealed hangar ?
I am using...
Hi - Finally got my AOA installed and am about to do the calibration. I found the RV6 settings here, but the actual calibration including hangar-setting I can't find in my manuals or maybe I am...
OK, but the other way it will work - a route/Flightplan created on the Garmin will be accepted by the AFS-5600 ?
Hi,
Quick question:
If I install a Garmin 396/496 in my aircraft - and connect it to my AFS on a serial port - I can enter routes in the Garmin unit and use them on my AFS if I understand this...
Bump to the top... Is this me not doing things right or is it a common problem ?
It would be good to get this clarified. Is this the end of the line with respect to OS1 displays and features ? Such as waypoints - better user interface (for fuel computer etc) ?
thanks

For the AF-5000 Original Displays (OS1): X12.08.08-MV16, is this the "end of the line" for further upgrades ? Will we see the same features as for the OS5/touch units ?
Great - thanks for making this much better.
I hope this upgrade also applies to the older units (OS:1).

Hi,
I am only using the turtle GPS and INTFP for the moment. It appears to me that with the current Chart Database available from Jeppesen, I am still missing out on multiple GNSS fixes for...
I gave up on PocketFMS. I am using Jeppesen now (1 time update). More expensive, but still better.
On another note - this is for Advanced/Dynon: It feels like non-US customers are secondrate...
Is there anything new on this ?? It would be a great addition to have user defined waypoints.
Hi,
Is it just me doing something wrong, but when I use my SL30 and dial in a VOC or LOC - I am unable to change the radial on the HSI on my AF5600 ? I can track directly inbound/outbound, but...
Hi,
I am flying in Europe and mostly we use liters instead of gallons when we fuel. For that reason I have set my fuel computer to liters. There is however a slightly (but quite annoying)...
