no the 4500 only displays the map and obstacles-not sectionals and no longer approach plates
I use forelight on an iPad mini for that

gps attitude is not the same as indicated altitude
if atc says your altitude is off maybe you have a leak in your pitot static system
have you had a transponder pitot state check done?
each display has its own clock battery

the sd cards do seem to wear out
why don't you try a new sd card
for IFR you need only the navdata for the IFD540(jepp subscription) every 28 days (although i do update the obstacle data every year)

ive had my plane for10 years and always left my efis in ver arm
somehow it got changed to vert alt and ap would not couple
once couple it changes to nav
i have similar set up and will check and get back to you. i do have a switch to control the vision either through the gps or efis

i purchase the northeast region approach plates from advanced flight $25 month
they are the NOS and work great

i had to go back to 0 on the micro activity as the plane nose was going up and down.the other settings seemed fine.
i had 2 approaches each with a cross wind of 20 kts
the cdi was dead on one and...
ive also noticed my plane can lose up to 100 feet in a turn but corrects after the turn.
