IFD540 configuration details

For my configuration, with SV-COM, IFD-540, AFS-GPS, and the remote audio panel, the precise setup in the 5600 is not clear. I used the quick panel instructions to configure the IFD-540, but how to assign the devices in the 5600 is confusing. I currently have the SV-COM working properly through the EFIS, both for frequency selection and audio panel. The IFD-540 is available on the audio panel page, but the radio selector only shows the SV-COM.

What is the key to getting the 5600 to control the IFD-540 COM?

To tune the IFD-540 you will need the serial port setup for GTR/GNC-2xx and the COM setup page set for GNC-255. At this time only one radio is tuned from a display.

Perhaps that would be a function in the future, to tune two radios from the 5600?

Perhaps. You can currently tune two radios with two EFIS.
