Testing backup battery during periodic inspections

Any way to test the battery without having to babysit the EFIS to prevent it from shutting down when not flying?

Beyond the normal TCW capacity test done every time power it interrupted to the 5600 are several more involved TCW tests which are described in the TCW manual, My TCW manual is REV 2.3.
