Current weather information

Hi Trevor,

I'm a few months out from needing my 4500 screens. I'm doing a copy of Chris Sands incredible panel. I don't want any "added" components, like a 496 for weather and tunes.

What is the current status of weather information provided from the WX Works? And, any update on being able to get music from the same.

Hello Darwin, we are able to display METAR's, TAF's, TFR's, Lightning strikes, and NEXRAD from the WxWorx weather unit. At this time we don't have the ability to channelize the XM Audio service. It is on our list of To-Do's but I don't have a timeline.
Chris Sands did build an incredible panel indeed!

I'll see if I can post some pictures. Chris is my next door neighbor at Stellar air park in Chandler, AZ (P19). His 7 is truly the nicest one in the World. He built it to sell (and it is sold to a lucky owner in TX). It would have won a very high level award at Oshkosh or any major event. Chris made a mold and made his own glass and carbon panel. It reminds me of a Cirrus. As I noted, I'm doing the same panel in my new 7 but will have the new Trutrak (or AFS equivalent) Gemini combination auto pilot, artificial horizon, altimeter, airspeed in one instrument. This will save some real estate on the panel. Also using the VPX and doing away with the circuit breakers.
