What's the procedure for adjusting tach/hobbs as required? (EG, when new engine fitted).
I also notice that in hobbs time "todays time" is always 1.5. What does this mean?

What model EFIS and what version of software?

There should a menu item in Admin Calibration to set the Hobbs and Tack time.

Today time should not always be 1.5

AFS 4500.
sv8.8.12 (I tried installing the latest SW but when I put the SD card in and powered up I just got the usual loading procedure with no pause for new sw installation).
In admin calibration I tried to adjust the reading but whilst the numbers would briefly change they would always go back to the same readings. I tried hitting save etc. but nothing I could do would change the outcome.

Double check that you have the new software install correctly on the SD card, 95% of the time people don't have it unzipped or in the wrong directory.

If you have two screens you must set the tach and hobbs on the EMS screen.

Thanks.
I have the files unzipped but still they don't load.
If I knew how to take a screen shot I would post it here.
We do indeed have two screens and adjusting the times on the EMS screen was indeed the answer.
Can you explain exactly what is "today's time"? Is it referring to the flight time or the clock time?

It is the flight time for today. Email me a picture of your PC screen with the SD card files showing.
