What is the status of you incorporating data from a GRT engine monitor?

It is on the development list, I suspect it will be in the spring.

Thanks, Rob. How should i set up the wiring?

You wire the EIS module to any EFIS serial input (RXD)

Rob,

Any updates on the Grand Rapids Tech engine monitor input?

Rob,

I am getting close to starting the installation of your wiring harness but this is contengent on being able to use my GRT engine monitor as an input to your system. Are you still planning on writing the code nessasry for this?

This feature has been integrated into v14 software. This is planned to be available by Sun-N-Fun.

I'm a little confused.... The Dynon Skyview system seems to have a Version 14 software released and the AFS is at Version 12 (new as of Feb of this year). Is there a V14 for the AFS (skipping V13)?

Thanks,
Jeff

v14 wasn't ready to release for Sun-N-Fun but the next posted release of v12 software will have support for the GRT EIS serial parsing. We are dropping the v13 release because its overshadowed by v14's feature set.

Thanks for everything so far, Shawn.

I have installed the latest software and trying to configure the settings and I have a couple questions.

1. What input to the EIS4000 is being used for Gearbox temp?
- I have nothing connected to the OAT input (EIS4000 pin 22) and I see -50 on both the EIS and AFS, so I wonder if that is the one being used.
- I am currently using Aux 3 for Gearbox temp, and there seems to be no way to change what input to use in the AFS menu. (?)

2. Is Aux 5 and 6 usable?
- I can only seem to configure some things with Aux 1-->4, But I am using 5 of 6 aux inputs on the EIS.
- If no, will it be in the future?

All of these are good, and looking pretty cool:
-MAP on Aux1
-Fuel pressure on Aux4
-Fuel flow
-Tach
-Oil temp
-Oil Pressure
-Coolant temp

Thanks,
Jeff

We are receiving air, carb, oil temperatures from the GRT it doesn't define a gearbox.

The AF-5000 doesn't read the OAT from the GRT as it already has a source for this data.

The EFIS can be configured for the following inputs:
Aux 1: Cool Temp, Manifold, Tank 1, Tank 2, Fuel PSI
Aux 2: Cool Temp, Manifold, Tank 1, Tank 2, Fuel PSI
Aux 3: Cool Temp, Manifold, Tank 1, Tank 2, Fuel PSI
Aux 4: Cool Temp, Manifold, Tank 1, Tank 2, Fuel PSI
Aux 5: Cool Temp

The data doesn't see to define aux 6.
