I have a dynon pitot/aoa probe that came with the kit I purchased but no controller. What do I need to integrate with my future 5600 purchase?

It sounds like it is a non heated probe, it should work with the EFIS.

Oh, it is a heated probe, I was just wondering about controlling and inputting aoa data from the dynon probe to afs efis .

The Dynon heated Pitot comes with the controller. You can connect the AOA port to the EFIS lower wing AOA port and it should work.

Ok, thanks

When building, what are the pros/cons of the Dynon pitot AOA vs the old style wing pressure ports? Planning an AFS panel and I want to make the choice during the wing build.
Thx,

Go with the AOA pitot tube. Its much easier and the tubes are far less prone to issues. Wing ports will be less likely supported in future designs.

Wing pressure ports are only more useful for scientific applications where you are interested in modeling exact pressure numbers from a given installed location to calculate a wings performance.

Because of the fixed install location and the AOA calibration process the relative pressures create an equivalent AOA display.
