Hi All,

Is "Winds Aloft" supported for FIS-B weather? If so, I'm not able to enable it. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Dick

Currently the winds are not supported.

Rob,

Any timeline for the winds aloft on the 4500?

We have it on the software development list, no timeline.

What about for the 5000 series?

The ADS-B software is the same in the AF-4500 and AF-5000 units.

Just FYI - the manual currently says winds aloft and lightning are available for ADS-B. This seems to be incorrect.

To enable ADS-B Weather press [MAP] -> [WX] -> [WX: FIS-B]
The various weather products can also be turned on or off on that same WX menu.
NXRD - NEXRAD Radar
LTNG - Lighting Strikes
WNDS - Winds Aloft
METAR's, TAF's, and TFR's are always on and not user selectable.

Brian,
I don't have ads-b on my 4500 but have been using stratus 2 with foreflight on ipad2 and winds aloft are transmitted.
Still deciding on which ads-b to go with.
