My 5500 does not always respond to the switch turning off. Sometimes it just keeps running and gives a battery voltage warning, other times it shuts down with the normal message.

If it has airspeed or RPM it will not shut down, it will check again in 5 minutes and turn off. If you press a button after you turn off the power it will keep running and check again in 5 minutes.

RPM could be the problem. My normal shutdown procedure is to power everything down, master off, then pull the mixture. It doesn't like to stop running when there is power to the LASAR ignition.
