What is in this new version? Why does it say
AF4000VS8.07.10-MV15 System Software Updated 8/28/12 instead of 2/15/12?

Only the AF5000 software was updated on Friday. AF4000 software is still being tested.

I had the august software but it was 8.07.06???

8.07.06 was built on July 16, 2012 and released shortly after that. 8.07.10 was built on September 7, 2012. I'm not sure why the posted date doesn't match the release date on the website. Either way you should be running 8.07.10 or later.

thanks for the clarification. i was running 8.07.06 until i saw under the news section feb that 8.07.10 was the current version. i never saw that 8.07.10 was released in sept.
